Walker,
Looking through the pictures.
So many changes in one year.
So many adventures in one year.
So much left behind in one year.
So much acquired in one year.
So much kept in one year.
This is a poem.
A poem that will be a long poem.
A poem to narrate the deeds and adventures of you, our heroic figure.
Simply said, an epic.
The tale includes travel.
Travel to move from San Francisco to Indiana and on to Wisconsin.
Travel to National Parks and across Europe.
Not to mention just a wee bit of Africa.
Travel with friends.
Travel solo.
Travel with your mom to parks.
Travel with your mom and dad to a far off land.
Travel by truck, car, motorcycle, plane and train.
Is that a rocket I see you in? – that would be simply insane!
Does all the travel leave you feeling — a little jetlagged!?
A new job.
A new apartment.
New friends.
Old friends kept. Even one came to bring a friend to work day.
This year you graduated. You have moved on from your life as a student.
You have moved on from your life as a child and that middle ground of college.
This is it. You have a job, a place to live and friends who only have ever known you as an adult.
What an adult you have become. You are flourishing. I hope you are enjoying the process and the new stage in life as much as I enjoy watching you live it.
